Das kleines Schwarze, besser bekannt als Little Black Dress ( LBD), gefiel zwar schon Coco Chanel, kein anderer als Audrey Hepburn aber etablierte das chice Kleid in den Kleiderschränken der Frauen durch ihre Rolle als Holly Golightly in Frühstück bei Tiffany. Damals designte der wunderbare Hubert de Givenchy das bekannte Stück und prägt bis heute die folgenden Generationen von Designern. Zwar variieren die modernen Ausführungen mehr in Stoffen, Details und Schnitt, da das LBD aber ein unumgänglicher Verkaufsschlager ist, blitzt es in der ein oder anderen Kollektion immer wieder auf. YSL und Max Azria setzten auf lange Ärmel, Gewagtes zeigt Lanvin, Jean Paul Gaultier nimmt sogar die Hepburn Sonnenbrille mit und wunderschöne mädchenhafte Schnitte gibt es von Zac Posen.
